Vampires can be very cruel... Saidie used to be a major player in Silicon Valley. Big Bucks. Most of her free time she dedicated to extreme sports... until Xandross came along.
Xandross a vampire from clan Tzimiche had a bet running with a fellow Tzimiche that a blind vampire would not survive for long under the nightly vampiric hours. So when they caught a favorable subject... Saidie, he blinded her before he sired her.
Fortunately his companion Tzimiche had some humanity left in him and used his Viscistitude(sp?) talents on her so she would have a natural exoskeleton to protect her from the harsh vampiric world out there.
Needless to say, Saidie is making Xandross loosing his bet so far as she developed a sixth sense over time to sense "things coming". Now she's one of the most feared vampires with a syndicate behind her to boot *weg*
