Nekoko

Several thousands of years ago their was a twin. One of the two became to be worshipped as Bast the cat goddess of ancient Egypt and the other dissapeared and was forgotten... or was she?
There are people, toady, that remember her as a little statue that brings good fortune resembling a cat with a beckoning paw to lure customers to the shop it's placed in. It is called Maneki Neko.
Yet even those people have forgotton how this 'cat' really 'lured' people into doing her bidding and how she still wanders the earth, preferring the name Nekoko, Still luring people to help her in her cause.

This is an illustration of my character Nekoko as she appears in a story I'm writing. Please note that this 'so called' connection between Bast and the Maneki Neko is purely fiction thought up for my story.
