The last time I used a character called Aranka Ragale was in Ed's RPG scenario that was taking place at the same time and place as Robert Jordans Wheel of Time series.
She used to be the daughter of a Caravan Leader allowed to take his caravan across the Waste. At the age of four, she witnessed how the caravan got slaughtered by a group of Trollocs.
Hiding and being overlooked she was left alive in between the burning remains of the caravan wagons and the corpses of family and friends. Not knowing what to do she wandered off into the waste and dehydration overtook her swiftly.
When she came to her senses again, she was lying on pillows in what later turned out to be an Aiel tent. Even though she was a wetlander even Aiel would not leave a four year old child to her own devices in the waste.
She got adopted and grew up with Aiel values, however knowing she was different, she got more curious about where she was from and at a certain point in her life left her hold to visit the wetlands.
It was there that she caught the attention of a couple of Aes Sedai when she unknowingly channeled spirit at a jeweler as she was haggling over the price of a bracelet.
Many years of hard work in the white tower eventually allowed her to become Aes Sedai of the Green Ajah.
